Week 8-- the awkward gets real
I know it's only been two weeks... but I swear I've been out here for years. I love this little one-stoplight town and all the cows and corn. The people are great, when they aren't avoiding us (there were two Amish women in the store today and they turned around so fast like we had the plague or something). But the members are AMAZING like seriously, missionaries can't do ANYTHING without the members.
We did a lot of service this week since we're allowed to do service outside now (still wearing masks, of course... I don't think the masks are going away for a long time) and it may have been 90 degrees with no breeze or clouds and we were out there raking for a solid two hours but it felt good! Get out and do more service, people! It's good for you!
I also had my first very awkward member dinner, but it sufficeth me to say that it was an experience I soon hope to forget.
Hope everyone has an AWEsome week, don't do drugs, dont get the plague, and get out and do some service (or stay in and help out the missionaries on facebook....) but I can't tell you what to do.
Love and miss you all!
